This is the Four Thirds standard kit lens that came with most cameras. It replaced the earlier 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6
Eddie's take on it
One of Olympus' plastic-fantastic lenses, this was one of the best kit lenses of the whole 00's. Small, light, and high image quality.
Because the Olympus 14-54mm is so ridiculously cheap, is sharper, brighter throughout the zoom range (especially at the long end), it is hard to find rationale for using this lens. I think it only makes sense if you are using one of the E-4xx series cameras.
This is probably the most ubiquitous of all Four Thirds lenses, and is unlikely to ever become a collectable.
