Viewing features
100% viewfinder
Olympus has improved the 100% viewfind of the E-1 on the E-3 to be 20% larger. In fact it now is approximately the same sized viewfinder as APC cameras. Really this means that it is not only perportially the largest on the market over the competitors with taking in sensor size. But also it from my first look is Big and beautiful. This feature alone makes the camera well worth the upgrade.

Liveview
Olympus in January of 07 will celebrate 2 years with live view on its SLR's. As other companies begin to release bodies with this feature Olympus is continuing to perfect their's. On the E-3 the LCD will be both usable readable and assist in getting the shots that before were difficult if not impossible to get. 2 years ago many commented that it was a gimmick. However, we are now beginning to see the trend from other camera companies with this feature on there cameras. Some may wonder why the LCD is 2.5" instead of 3" for Olympus to have a moveable LCD they had to use a smaller LCD because there wasn't enough room on the body. Also they have built into the Live view sensor a Illumancy sensor, just as many highend LCD TV's have to help keep the viewfinder readable in nearly all situations.
