Image QualityBuilt In Image StabilizationThe Built in Image stabilization compensates for camera shake by shifting the image sensor for upto 5 shutter speed steps. I was playing with the E-510's IS unit, that Mr Terado has taken out of a E-510. I was very shaky, I hadn't eatened all day, and was living off of Diet Coke. So I was quite shaky. However, no mater how much I shook the mechinism kept up with me. The E-3 has taken the technology within the E-510 and it has even been improved. (Once again I don't know how much at this point)
10 Megapixel High-performance SensorThe sensor is similar to that which is found in the E-410 and E-510. However, here is what they have claimed. #1 it has been improved in Dynamic range, as well as it has been pumped up to keep up with the camera so that it can do 5 FPS. In addition to that TruePic IIIThere has been some questions on exactly what TruePic III does, so at my interview, I asked, basically it is Olympus' engine, which takes the raw information and processes the files into Jpeg's. It does not effect the raw images, as some have thought. Digital LensesMore info to come later. |
